Fluevog Shoes - FluevogCreative: Desmond's Unique Sole

Hey Everybody,

I've entered a contest:
Fluevog Shoes - FluevogCreative: Desmond's Unique Sole

Please go forth and vote for my design! (or any design you think deserves to win and you love, but c'mon I wouldn't be sharing if I didn't want your votes now, would I?)  I'd love new shoes, but the advertising would be stellar for my portfolio.
So please, help a sister out?

Thank!

Copics

This is my first time messing around with copic markers. I just wanted to get a feel for how the ink acts so a suuuuper quick sketch lent itself to play time. Clearly this is a bit of a mess, but I love these markers. Expect more(less sloppy work) soon.

On Inboxes

Hey everybody!

So it turns out I didn't know I had an inbox for blogger until about 10 minutes ago. Yes yes, this does in fact make me a bonafide twit.

I'll start being more friendly I promise.

Quick Update

First of all I redesigned my business card and printed a hand full off today for a test run. This is my second go at a business card (first one here) I'm still not 100% on board with this one, but I do think it's eons better than before...now if I can only redesign that pesky website of mine.

Secondly, my wonderful boyfriend is on a mini vacation with his buddies around Europe. These are a couple of doodles I've sent him so far. Enjoy.

Lastly, I want to turn anyone who actually reads this on to 2 things.
1) On the 30th I'll be attending RAW for cocktails and art in support of my friend and all around amazing artist Skitz. It's cheap and trendy and in San Francisco, so even if you don't go, check out the website and consider going in the future.
2) For my birthday my awesome brother got me(amongst many cool things) Chris Ayer's The Daily Zoo volumes 1 AND 2. They are wonderful and rich and I've been putting off getting them for years. Everyone should go peek at them.

Thanks to everyone for everything!

End of Spring Blowout!

So it's been a while, but patience shall be rewarded!
Mostly in a self-indulgent post about how I've finally broken through an art block and am branching out.

and some Wonder Woman fandom, I always thought the Greek flag was more appropriate, but either way we're bringing back the skirt that was lost in the 60's!

Portraits for a block

I've decided when I can't think of anything I'm just going to draw self portraits. This is how I've been feeling lately.

Have a good day!

You know nothing Jon Snow.

I'm on book 3 of The Song of Ice and Fire series and I have a soft spot in my heart for Ygritte.

a Drawing a Day

Been a while! Well, I missed the deadline for Satellite Soda's February drawing-a-day, forcing artists to make and post something every day. The idea is that creating and sharing even a doodle is better than nothing at all. So I think I'm going to try it here instead.
You may find that I use the 100 Theme challenge, or some old west themed buildings I'm working on for a friend, but today I'm semi-cheating and using a drawing that (though I didn't start it yesterday) I did finish it on the 1st of February.

This is a collage of mixed martial arts fighter, Genki Sudo. I'm proud of this one technique-wise. However, this was for a friend and he saw this composition by another artist. So the concept is not mine unfortunately, but it is what he wanted, so what can you do really? He wanted something that could be hung on a wall and the original artist only sold it as a post card. Also, there were some artistic "short comings" in the original.

I am going to try to draw and post something today during my work hours to get on track with this drawing-a-day thing.

Wish me luck.
